Tinubu’s Horse Wins Big at Yola Derby

President Bola Tinubu’s horse, Renewed Hope, continued its dominance at the International Horse Derby in Yola, Adamawa, emerging as the fastest horse in the competition.

The National Coordinator of the Horse Racing Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha-Bida, announced the victory during the finals of the 2025 International Renewed Hope Horse Racing Competition. The event took place at the Lamido Aliyu Mustapha International Race Course in Yola.

Mustapha-Bida, who also holds the title of Sarkin Dawakin Nupe, confirmed that new winners had emerged following a previous derby in Bida, Niger State. The competition showcased top-performing horses from across the country.

As part of the event’s grand prizes, seven Toyota saloon cars were awarded to first-place winners across different racing categories, highlighting the prestige of the tournament.

The Renewed Hope horse has consistently proven to be a formidable contender, strengthening its reputation in Nigeria’s growing horse racing scene.

With the Yola victory secured, attention now shifts to future competitions, where Renewed Hope will look to extend its winning streak.
