Engr. David Umahi, has dismissed allegations of sexual harassment and non-payment for campaign materials leveled against him by businesswoman Tracynither Nicolas Ohiri. He has demanded proof of the transaction and threatened legal action over the claims.
Umahi addressed the issue in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, describing the accusations as “unfounded, politically orchestrated, and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.” He challenged Ohiri to provide evidence and warned that legal action was imminent to deter similar allegations.
Minister Sets New Guidelines for Road Closures
Speaking during a visit to Independence Bridge in Lagos, Umahi also directed state controllers of works to obtain written approval from the Federal Ministry of Works before closing any roads or bridges for repairs.
“No Controller of Works or engineer should close any road or bridge without permission. If it will cause major gridlock, I must be informed so we can deploy a technical solution,” he stated.
The Minister assured Lagos residents that he would remain in the state until the ongoing bridge rehabilitation work was completed.
