Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat, the Thai couple who set the Guinness World Record for the longest kiss, have announced their separation.
The duo made history in February 2013 by locking lips for 58 hours and 35 minutes, breaking their own 2011 record of 46 hours and 24 minutes.
In a recent BBC Sounds podcast, Ekkachai reflected on their achievement, expressing pride in their endurance and dedication.
“I am very proud. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he said, acknowledging the significance of their record despite their split.
The couple had participated in the competition as a symbol of love, inspiring many before eventually parting ways.
Their record remains unbeaten, standing as a testament to their incredible feat in the world of endurance challenges.
