YEIDEP Pledges More Support for Youth Empowerment

The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) has reaffirmed its dedication to reducing poverty and improving the lives of young Nigerians. The commitment was highlighted at a solidarity dinner organized by Keystone Bank in Lagos to honor Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande and YEIDEP Coordinator-General Comrade Kennedy Iyere.

Speaking at the event, Olawande praised President Bola Tinubu for launching YEIDEP and expressed gratitude to Keystone Bank, led by Hassan Imam, for supporting the initiative. He also commended Iyere for his passion for youth development and patriotism.

The minister emphasized the need to equip young people with the resources and opportunities necessary for success. “Our ministry remains committed to partnerships that ensure Nigerian youths are protected, guided, and empowered for the future,” he stated.

Iyere highlighted the significance of engaging young people in meaningful activities, stressing that this approach would help curb crime and drive economic growth. He also applauded Keystone Bank for its dedication to economic development and youth empowerment.

Keystone Bank’s Executive Director, Corporate Banking and South, Mrs. Nnenna Anyim-Okoro, acknowledged Tinubu’s leadership in initiating YEIDEP. She announced that the bank has formed a high-level committee to oversee the program’s implementation and launched a digital platform for managing YEIDEP accounts.

Other Keystone Bank officials present at the event included Olayemi Sule, Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking; Obinna Uwadoka, Head of General Commerce; Chinyelu Ogufere, Group Head of Emerging Sectors and Industries; and John Enukorah, Group Head of Private Banking.
